Anticipated Outcome
- Proposed revisions to preliminary college readiness definitions, based on classroom experience;
- A small but rich set of classroom-tested exemplars that include assignments, unit designs, and new or revised curricula;
- Re-designed and/or new courses and repackaged core content with emphasis on student college readiness;
- Benchmark and end-of-course assessments to help teachers improve the quality, consistency and rigor of courses that sometimes have similar titles but very different content;
- Teaching strategies and student outcomes that promote currency in college readiness teacher preparation with secondary teacher education programs;
- Identification of college readiness best practices to inform pre-service and in-service professional development;
- Evidence of learning experiences that are more engaging to today’s students.
